I was supposed to be on top of things!
But it’s currently 12:51 AM and I’m still working on homework and reading I had almost 2 days to complete. SIGH.
I think I’m regrettably going to be snowbound in DeKalb this weekend (which sucks because I have plans in the city) but maybe it’s a sign that I should GET MY FREAKING HOMEWORK DONE AHEAD OF TIME.

Apparently, the recipe for getting a 4.0 when you aren’t really that smart is something like: Study. Like, all the time. Have your hair fall out from the stress. Skip your birthday to work on a database. Spend hours doing homework. Don’t see your friends for 4 months. Eat all the time to support your lifestyle of staying up for 48 hours at a time and gain 5-10 lbs.

And your otherwise impossible task of getting an A is suddenly completely possible! Well, as long as I get an 89 on the final. Before I needed a 96! Not that I should be focused so much on grades at this point in my life (I feel like that was such a high school thing!) BUT it gives my GPA some wiggle room for when I’m completely overwhelmed and tired and worn out in subsequent semesters....

I stayed in last night to complete my database. AND THEN I GOT A VIRUS AND NOW I LOST EVERYTHING I’VE EVER PUT ON THIS COMPUTER.
So there’s that. This is the worst Thanksgiving break ever. Thank goodness I have a hard copy of the 5 page paper I need to rewrite and thank goodness I don’t own a printer so most of my other assignments are somewhere in my email account.

Why proofreading is important
Because sometimes you hit the ‘s’ key instead of the ‘d’ and you send a paper to your professor that outlines the non-value asses activities a company seeks to reduce.
Crossing my fingers this is one of those times when the prof just skims the paper.

It’s weird getting older. It seems like as you get older it gets weirder and harder to pick up new friends. People seem busier, less interested. Maybe it’s just the campus I’m on?
